Mount Olympus.
In ancient Greek Mythology, Mount Olympus was the dwelling place of the Olympian gods. It was created after the Titanomachy, the battle during which the Olympians defeated the Titans.
The war lasted for about ten years. It was led by Zeus. Zeus along side with his brothers, Poseidon and Hades divided the universe by drawing straws. Zeus won and became the ruler of the sky, as well as ruler of Mortals and gods. Poseidon became the ruler of the sea, and Hades who drew the shortest straw became the ruler of the underworld.
This was the dawn of a new era in the Greek Mythology.
The twelve Olympians that resided on mount Olympus were Zeus, Hera, Poseidon, Athena, Apollo, Artemis, Hestia, Demeter, Hermes, Aphrodite ,Ares and Hephaestus.
