The Amazon City.


The Amazons were a race of female warriors in Greek mythology, who dwelt in the region of modern-day Ukraine. Two of the best known Amazon queens were Penthesilea, who took part in the Trojan War,
Which is probably one of the most important events that have been narrated in Greek mythology. It was a war that broke out between the Achaeans (the Greeks) and the city of Troy. The best known narration of this event is the epic poem Iliad, written by Homer.

The magical girdle was the object that Heracleshad to recover to complete the fourth task given to him during the myth of the Labours of Heracles.

There were no men allowed to live together with the Amazons. However, in order to continue their race, once a year, the Amazonswould visit a nearby tribe called Gargareans. After having sexual intercourse with them, theAmazons would return home; they would keep all baby girls that were born, but the male babies were either killed, sent to their fathers, or left in a forest to die of exposure to theelements.


The Amazons appeared in various Greekmyths. In one of them, they attacked the region of Lycia, but were fended off byBellerophon. They later attacked Phrygia, but were also defeated by the defending army, led by a young Priam, who later became the king of Troy. During the Trojan War, the Amazons, led by Queen Penthesilea, helped Priamdefend his city; Penthesilea was killed byAchilles during a battle.

In ancient Greek Mythology, Mount Olympus was the dwelling place of the Olympian gods. It was created after the Titanomachy, the battle during which the Olympians defeated the Titans.   The war lasted for about ten years. It was led by Zeus. Zeus along side with his brothers, Poseidon and Hades divided the universe by drawing straws. Zeus won and became the ruler of the sky, as well as ruler of Mortals and gods. Poseidon became the ruler of the sea, and Hades who drew the shortest straw became the ruler of the underworld. This was the dawn of a new era in the Greek Mythology.  The twelve Olympians that resided on mount Olympus were Zeus, Hera, Poseidon, Athena, Apollo, Artemis, Hestia, Demeter, Hermes, Aphrodite ,Ares and Hephaestus.

The Bermuda Triangle.

My curiosity made me click on every site and link that I could possibly click on till I found this Also known as " Devil's Triangle".  Its a defined region in the western part of the North Atlantic Ocean where a number of aircrafts and ships are said to have disappeared. It has become a center of unresolved mysteries, covering over 440,000 miles of the sea.    Over the centuries, a large number of ships and planes have been reported to have mysteriously vanished in this region.   Stories of the Bermuda Triangle all began in the time of Christopher Columbus, when he reported to have saw a flame of fire crashing into the sea into the triangle during his first voyage.  The accident continued for several years around the Bermuda Triangle region. There have been so many theories, one claims that there is a very high pull of the earth's natural magnet.
